2018 Year-end Update

Right now I’m in the middle of writing the final chapter of Watchbearers Book 5 and expect to finish the first draft by the end of the week. All the brain-bending time-twisty stuff in this will make it challenging to keep the details straight through subsequent drafts, but knowing these characters backwards and forwards makes things easier in another respect. But that work will have to wait until I’ve finished with Slowpocalypse Book 5.

There’s still some rewriting and lots of revision and tons of editing yet to do on that, though since I’ve tweaked parts of the plot and gotten to know these new characters a lot better, it’s starting to come together nicely. I just need to find the focus to get the job done so all of you who are waiting can read it. Maybe in March?

While this past year has been tough in terms of my writing productivity, it’s been a great year for new readers discovering my books. And I’m very grateful. But so many more people looking forward to my new novels also means increased pressure. On the one hand, I want finish them that much more quickly so you can enjoy these stories already. On the other, I need to take the time to make sure they’re my best books yet. So you none of you will be disappointed.

Hope you all have a happy (and safe) New Year’s celebration and a great start to 2019.
