I tried 3 new (to me) mystery series this week and loved them all. The first Flaxborough book had a clever puzzle and was filled with wonderfully wry humor. Who Killed the Curate? was absolutely hilarious, and I’m already sorry the series is so short when I haven’t even read the second novel. And Dr. Priestly’s Quest was classic detection in the Sherlock Holmes style. But really, he should be called ‘Professor Priestly’.
Oh, and I did get some good work done on Slowpocalypse Book 5, but it still seems as if I’m counting my progress in inches instead of miles on this marathon job. (Of course, it’s hard to run in such heat as we’ve had.)
