Hope you’re having a wonderful Easter.
The start of a book I read this week hilariously had a novelist feeling guilty for spending time reading mystery novels when they thought they should have been writing. (‘A Matter of Loyalty’ – the third book in a brilliant mystery trilogy by Elizabeth Edmondson.) I can relate. But a lot of things that aren’t actual writing are part of the creative process, and sometimes waiting is just another kind of work. It can also be pure procrastination. The trouble is telling the difference.
