Well, I’ve now revised the fifth and sixth chapters of Slowpocalypse book 4. And yes, the second and third drafts of this book have been taking more time than usual. On the other hand, I’m also in the middle of writing chapter 4 of Watchbearers book 4, which puts me ahead of the game on that score. (Usually I’ve barely begun the first draft of a new novel by the time I’m ready to release the previous one.) So it seems as if it may all even out and keep me at the same three-book-a-year pace I’ve been publishing on from the beginning. I might like to get more done, faster, but being able to do what I’ve been doing is a wonderful gift from God, and I’m grateful for what He’s given me.
Oh, you want this week’s teaser sentence? Alright, I’ll give you this little bit from the first draft of chapter 4 of Watchbearers book 4 – At least he wouldn’t have to try to convince Page that sitting and listening to a ballgame on the radio could somehow be construed as a ‘date night’.
